Open House Recap

Was it worth it? That is often a question I ask myself after we have a large event, finished project or anything else that takes a significant amount of time. As human beings we want to know that what we have invested time, energy and resources in has some return value or worth.

Smiles, laughter, dancing and being together will always be worth it. It’s a life lesson I’m leaning into as I, more often than not, tend to focus on the bottom line details. As a leader I must keep both in perspective. It’s the first that reminds me why we do what we do in the first place.

So know that we put time and energy into creating and providing relevant, informative and fun content to share with you. We want you to be able to experience the life that happens daily on a corner of our city. A corner that if you just flipped through the paper and turned on the news you may feel hopeless hearing about. But know there is a whole lot to be hopeful for too.

One good thing to remember is that kingdom work will ALWAYS be worth it. No matter how inefficient, minimal or slow moving. The time you take for one life to be seen, known and heard is one more person that can experience the unconditional, all-encompassing and inclusive love of Jesus.

Thank you for supporting us. Thank you for understanding while one year is ending, it is important we start the next year strong and ready to meet people right where they are at. Together we will lovingly, gracefully and truthfully restore the broken pieces, keeping in mind people are always worth it.
