A Prayer Without A Back Story

In the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Heavenly Father,
We come to you this chilly morning full of thankfulness that you have called us to yet another day here in the "story of what is". Thank you for waking us up. Thank you for planting our feet firmly on the ground this morning. Thank you, Abba, for our health, for our sound mind, and for your love that was, is and will forever be.
Some days aren't always so peaceful and calm. Some days we feel sad, bitter, and angry. Some days we feel tired and weary. Lord, may we lift our eyes to you when we can't see past our own self, social media, or the news. May we resist the thing or things that persist. Let us lean into the space that just doesn't "feel" good. May we see the beauty of your HIStory that lies beyond what our shallow eyes can see.
In the words of Richard Rohr, "Loving God, you fill all things with a fullness and hope that we can never comprehend".
Loving Father, may we be filled today, tomorrow and forevermore with the fullness and hope that we can never comprehend. May we see and feel and experience the fullness and hope that can only come from you. Thank you.
Amen,
Rach
