The Growth Process

“But we all, with unveiled faces, looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.” -2 Corinthians 3:18
1-Dormant. 2-Growing. 3-Flourishing. 4-Transplant. This is the scale we use on our Flourishing Metric to help us locate where we are in a particular area and where we would like to go. Am I dormant in this area, am I flourishing in this area or am I somewhere in between?
We all experience seasons of dormancy, seasons of growth, seasons of flourishing and when we get to a place where we have outgrown our current location, we step into a season of transplanting or being transplanted. Being transplanted or transplanting implies movement. We move from one place physically, mentally/emotionally, spiritual and/or intellectually to another and what a gift this is.
Father, you are always present and inviting us into the growth process. Even in seasons of dormancy we know there is work being done. May we step into the lulls where there feels like very little movement knowing that you bring us from glory to glory. From one perspective into the next. From one way of knowing you to another way of knowing you. In our ever-changing world, You remain the same and invite us into your mystery. It is good to know You. Deeply deeply good to know incredible, YOU. Thank you for knowing us first. Beyond words.
Amen,
Hannah
