Family Dinner: Each Tuesday evening, our Homes community comes together for dinner. We are seeking volunteers willing to supply food for roughly 15 to 20 individuals. You can prepare an entrée paired with two sides, or expand the menu to feature drinks and desserts. Food may be dropped off hot by 4:45 p.m. on Tuesdays, or delivered between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Mondays or Tuesdays so our team can warm it up later. While this serves as an easy drop-off chance for fresh faces, long-term connections naturally take root, and those delivering are warmly invited to stay and share food with us.

Community Cantina: Every second Sunday of the month, our community comes together for a required member gathering and shared meal. We are looking for volunteers to help supply this dinner for about 50 to 55 individuals. Meals should arrive hot at Shechem by 4:15 p.m. so everything is set to serve by 4:30 p.m. Plan on spending time with us from roughly 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., as the gathering takes place between 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Throughout this session, volunteers also have the chance to connect with our Homes members' children in the gym space.
Afterschool snack for Shechem: We are seeking volunteers to supply a main dish for our Shechem members to share after school, or as a lunch option throughout the summer months (such as sandwich ingredients, sloppy joes, pulled pork or chicken, pasta dishes, or pizza). This serving opportunity offers schedule flexibility. Please prepare food for approximately 30 to 40 individuals. Additionally, individually packaged snacks for Shechem are always greatly appreciated.
Please email Katee for open dates.
