The Burden-Lifter

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” 

Galatians 5:1 NIV

People come to Hope Street with heavy burdens. We see it in the way people carry themselves. We see it through interactions, decision making, and simple choices. While Hope Street is a safe place for broken people to live and play, the beauty is in the invitation to experience something new. To not allow those burdens to define us or even shape us. An invitation to place that burden in the One’s whose hands can bear it all. 

Christ died so we would no longer bear the burden of our brokenness. In light of this truth, we get to experience freedom. Free people, know and rest in His love - and that is our hope for each and every member of the greenhouse for people. 

Father, thank you for paving the way for us to be set free. Free to live in perfect unity with you. Free to receive the gift of your perfect love, and to allow love to do what it does best…transform. Please continue to transform our hearts and minds, so that we can better reflect you, and honor you with all that life throws our way. Thank you for being the burden lifter.
