We are all invited

Why a Greenhouse? Because we all experience brokenness and every person benefits from a safe space to be planted, pruned, protected, cultivated, and to experience flourishing. That was the question presented and answered at last week’s event! Farmer God is the Creator, Sustainer and ultimate Authority of the Greenhouse for People. 

Growing up and into early adulthood, I honestly thought that I had to be a “greenhouse” of sorts for others. I felt a need to protect others, be strong for them, and also felt responsible to prune and cultivate those around me through giving advice. This was all rooted in my desires to be in control and to feel safe. And I was honestly left with none of those desires (controlling tendencies) working out when I came to the end of myself. 

God, thank You for taking my insecurities and fears and holding them with tenderness. Thank You for meeting me in my relentless trying and for bringing me to the awareness that I hold nothing together…and yet, You hold all things together. Thank You for gently and clearly showing me that I don’t carry the answers…but that You do. Thank You for inviting me to experience “Why a Greenhouse” matters so deeply both in my life and in the lives of others. Lord, would You continue inviting people into this beautiful story You are writing and would You help us be faithful to living daily within Your truth.
