“I am here to see what God has for me in this season”

New Member at Homes at Hope Street

It’s been awhile since I have done an intake. However, I was recently able to step in for Jamie, and I was reminded of the anticipation in the beginning. There is a level of excitement for what could be. Could this step be what turns things around?

As days pass that anticipation turns into expectation and together, we begin to see God’s will for our time at Hope Street unfold. Some people accept the gift for what it is, an opportunity. An opportunity to live life differently. Some members aren’t ready for this. We eventually figure that out, and have the grace needed to discern the next best steps. But on day one, there’s a hopeful anticipation, and we pray that Hope plants the seed for growth to take place.

Father, thank you for the gift of being able to welcome people home. Thank you for the space prepared, the softened heart, and the deep desire for life to look different. You write a good story, and as we discover that and own that as truth - please remind us what is true of you. As J discovers what you have for her in this season, please give her a willing heart, and daily reminders of your faithfulness. Help her to know she is beloved, and your grace is sufficient.

Amen,

Ash
