Kris' Prayer

I first came to Hope Street wanting to get my feet wet so to speak. I had heard about Hope Street, the Greenhouse at 26th and Capitol, but with young kids at home I felt it was never the right time. Then...the right time came. I came to my first Community Prayer with no expectations. I thought the building would be loud and chaotic. From the moment I rang that buzzer, heard the sound of the door unlocking, and walked into the Bible Study room I felt peace. I felt the presence of God. The time blew my mind and I left that day feeling so convicted. Man, the way I pray, the things I pray for are...shallow at best. I cried the whole way home. Today is your opportunity to hear from one of our members. Hear, see, feel the way he prays:

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for another day. Thank you for being the author and finisher of our faith. Thank you for being the loving God you are always. Please show us your love continuously so that at some point we can love the way you love us.

Father God you are the truth and the light of our life. Please be the eye of our life. Bless us Father to see like you see. Father we are not as perfect as we should be, but you have created us to be perfect individuals. Bless us to walk and live up to your standard. You have purposed something glorious for our lives, as we walk with you we will understand more and more. We love you with our heart, mind, all our strength. In the name of Jesus the Christ.
