Invitation to the Thirsty (Isaiah 55)

Father you are amazing. Amazing in ways that I can understand and in ways that I cannot comprehend. You have opened our hearts to a beautiful part of your plan on 26th and Capitol. A place where we can be sheltered, nourished and grow in your love.

(55:1) “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat!

I give thanks that your love cannot be purchased or earned and your mercy is freely given. I try to understand that it is in fact we that were bought at a price. I am thirsty and hungry.

(55:6) “Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. Let the wicked forsake their ways and the unrighteous their thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them, and to our God, for he will freely pardon”

Thank you for meeting me where I am at in my brokenness, in my city and with my family at Hope Street. I pray that our hearts are filled beyond measure with your love. I pray this love floods out of the doors on Capitol Drive, into our neighborhood so that everyone can see the fruit of your work in us.

Amen,

Kevin Mast

Board Director
