Thank You: Elevation Worship 

These are the lyrics that came over my speaker as I pulled into our venue for the book launch this last Sunday. Teary eyed I sat for a minute as all I could think about was all I am grateful for. 

This launch coincided with ten years of leading this organization. I am still not quite sure how that happened so fast. Yet, I haven’t had as many words to capture what that has meant, and maybe it’s because so many are now in a book. My prayer today looks like a continuation of the song above: 

Thank you for the countless names, faces and stories that have shifted my perspective, softened my heart and brought community. 

Thank you for the tears, heartache, and setbacks - because even still you remained Sovereign, and faithful. 

Thank you for the grace, daily mercy to show up. 

Thank you for the opportunity to learn along the way, to invite others to join, and for the ways our community reflects you. 

Thank you for Hope Street, and for the comforting fact the Greenhouse is for everyone. 

You are a good, good Father and I’m just so grateful for you. Thank you. Amen.
